The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has completed its second pre-market consultation for human food made from cultured animal cells. California-based GOOD Meat, a division of Eat Just, Inc., uses animal cell culture technology to take living cells from chickens and grow the cells in a controlled environment to make cultured animal cell food.

FAO Expects Return of Seeds from Space |

Seeds sent to outer space in November 2022 are expected to return to Earth after four months. The breakthrough experiment, led by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) and the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), aims to develop new crops that can adapt to climate change and help boost food security.

Public Perception of Agri-biotech Today

Researchers from the University of the Philippines Los Baños (UPLB) and partners conducted a survey of agri-biotech stakeholders to understand their perceptions of modern biotechnology. The key findings of the study will be presented in an onsite seminar titled Public Perception of Agri-biotech Today, which will be held on March 30, 2-4 PM at REDREC, UPLB. Attendance to the seminar is open to all.
